Why subscribe?

Notes on the Crises covers the play by play of the ongoing fallout from the global Coronavirus Depression and how policymakers should respond to it as well as assessing how they actually are responding. There will be occasional paid guest writers and articles will be professionally edited by a part-time editor.

Fulfillment Policy

Please contact me at crisesnotes[at]gmail[dot]com if you have trouble receiving emails or logging into Ghost to access the back catalogue. Please check promotions and social tab if you use Gmail and check your spam folders. I will try to solve your issue no later than 7 business days after you contact me, though it may be out of my hands if I need to involve Ghost’s helpful support staff. I am not in control of their schedules. Subscriptions can be refunded on a prorated basis if there is a technical issue I fail to solve after that time horizon.

If you decide you dislike Notes on the Crises and unsubscribe, the subscription will expire at the end of the billing period. Make sure to unsubscribe on Stripe or the Ghost interface as clicking "unsubscribe" at the bottom of emailed pieces will only stop you receiving emails, it doesn't close your paid subscription account.

This Privacy Policy describes Notes on the Crises’ policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of your information when you use the Service and tells you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

We use your personal data solely to communicate with you and do not disclose this information to third parties, except solely as required to process subscription payments for a subscriber’s account. By using the service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

  • Going Concern The continuation of an entity for an indefinite basis. For the purposes of this Privacy Agreement, it specifically refers to continuing Notes on the Crises for the purposes it was originally established for.
  • Affirmative Consent Choosing to continue sharing your information with Notes on the Crises Inc. Actions that illustrate this include, but are not limited to, actively clicking “yes” to communication which informs you of a change in ownership or control of Notes on the Crises Inc and confirms your desire to allow Notes on the Crises Inc. to continue to store your information and send you future communications. 
  • Passive Consent Not clicking “no” to communication which informs you of a change in ownership or control of Notes on the Crises Inc and provides you an opportunity to have Notes on the Crises Inc. delete your information and unsubscribing you from future newsletters. Another way of passively consenting is not requesting to be unsubscribed from the newsletter through email communications to [email protected] subsequently to a change in ownership or control of Notes on the Crises inc.

If the newsletter ceases publication, your personal information will be deleted.
  • With Affiliates: Currently Notes on the Crises Inc. is solely owned and controlled by Nathan Tankus. Any transfer of ownership and control, in part or in whole, may involve continued access to your personal information but only with your affirmative consent or passive consent.
  • With other users: when you share personal information or otherwise interact in the public areas with other users, such information may be viewed by all users and may be publicly distributed outside.
  • With Your consent: We may disclose your personal information for any other purpose with your consent.

The Company will retain Your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.
